Workshop on EndNote X3 offered November 13

InstructionEndnote is a data management program designed to help you create, store, and manage a "personal database" (library) of bibliographic citations, images, charts, graphs, tables, power point presentations, and other electronically digitized data, thus keeping data organized and easily retrievable.

Endnote training sessions available on demand via videoconference

The Research and Instructional Services department has acquired a Polycom 7000s videoconferencing system for interactive sessions with the university's remote sites (graduate centers, ARECs, extension offices, etc.).

If you are interested in an EndNote session, suitable spaces at both the local and remote sites must be reserved. Please contact Dave Beagle (540-231-9231) to make arrangements on the Library end. See the local facilities manager on your end to schedule a room.

Subject guides for sustainability topics now available

The Virginia Tech Libraries' SciTech Team has developed a number of research guides for topics within the concept of sustainability. Each guide focuses on resources available through the library as well as sources freely available online. In each case you may need to use a more general subject guide to gather background information about your topic. For instance, when researching green buildings, you will probably need to consult the Architecture and Building Construction subject guides for general information on these topics in addition to the specific information supplied on the green building guide.
