The University Libraries will be participating in this Friday's Gobblerfest taking place on the Library Plaza, College Avenue and by the Graduate Life Center. The library will have photo cut-outs taken from the historical Virginia Tech images online. Please visit our booth from 2pm - 7pm.

The library will have two photo cut-outs for Gobblerfest attendees to take pictures with: cadets dressed for a rat parade from the 1920s and World War II alumni. Each will have their faces cut out and ready to be replaced for some carnival-attraction fun.
Patrons can use their own cameras, or the library staff can take your photo. Library photos will be uploaded to our Flickr site for easy downloading.
We'll also be highlighting some of the fun stuff the library offers:
- We have a growing collection of DVD and VHS movies that you can check out for three days. No rental fees! Thanks to a generous donor, our DVD collection will be expanding substantially during the semester.
- We also have a large collection of music CDs and now offer streaming music from Classical Music Library, which includes classical, jazz and opera among other genres.
- We offer a number of ways to find pleasure reading books in our collection and through the Montgomery-Floyd Regional Library.
- Look for other events during the semester, including a game night before exams and free coffee during exams.
